The first in my series of shoots for NFP in Austin, Texas, this is a great example of my studio corporate headshot. A mix of traditional, conservative gray backdrop portraiture and more relaxed, natural poses in our very “corporate” looking hallway in the studio lobby.
Achieving an ideal balance of creativity and professionalism in headshots for professionals is a delicate task. Sculpting perceptual presumptions about a subject’s character involves creative posing, lighting, setting and more. Hard lighting can convey more assertiveness, but may make one seem less approachable. A relaxed pose may do the opposite, but may also lessen one’s perceived professionalism.
I’ve been shooting headshots for CEOs for over seven years now, and make it my goal in every shoot to achieve the ideal mix of photographic elements for each of my clients.
